Inauguration of all associations by Smt. Radha Mangeshkar

The common inauguration of all curricular, Co-curricular and extra curricular Associations was held on 20th July, 2019 at 11:00 am in the seminar hall.

A college is a place which not only prepares one  for a job, but for life as well. A holistic development of a student is encouraged by organising various activities and events in the college. Our college, through all the different associations continuously strives at providing ample opportunities to the students as per their likes and capabilities. These activities give an outlet to the hidden talents and skills of a student. Our college aims at enhancing the emotional quotient of students along with their employability skills. This is achieved through various activities conducted by various departments and associations.

Every year activities of all the associations are inaugurated with much ferver and frolic! This year, the common inauguration of all associations took place at the hands of eminent singer Dr Radha Mangeshkar.

The programme was graced by the presence of the secretary of CTES Shri Ramesh Mhapankar, well known singer Mrs.Yojana Shivanand along with members of Chembur Rasik Sahitya Mandal.

In charge of Cultural Committee Mrs. Shilpa Jadhav introduced the objective behind the common inauguration. An interesting and engaging PowerPoint presentation highlighted the activities of the various associations. A brief introduction of the college by Principal Dr. Vidyagauri Lele followed by the introduction of the chief guest Dr Radha Mangeshkar by vice principal Dr.B.N. Gaikwad set the tone of the event.

In her key note speech, Dr. Radha emphasised on the need to feel proud about one’s own mother tongue. At the same time she also stressed upon the importance of learning English- the universal language. It is a common misconception that the life of children with a privileged and legendary background, is a bed of roses but Dr. Radha shared the constant stress and burden of expectations they have to go through. she gave credit of her success, strength and determination to this struggle. In her highly motivational speech she highlighted the importance of reading, keen observation, hardwork,  determination and good company.

This truly was the most appropriate beginning of all the engaging, insightful and productive experiences in the new academic year.
