On 30/7/2019, Social science association of Junior college arranged interaction session of students with Mumbai Police. Four officers from Mumbai Police addressed students to make them aware about current situation in Mumbai. The policeman informed students about the fact that there were 17 terrorist attacks on Mumbai in last few years. For huge population of 12.44 billion, there is a Police force of only 47,000 policemen. Without the help of citizens, Polce cannot work effectively.  This is need of time that as an ideal citizen, one must keep himself on vigil. With the help of PPT, they explained  students about which precautions they should take in public places. Students were given instructions about what they should do, whom they should approach if they experience or notice bullying, ragging or abuse.

Students were enriched with interesting and important information about how they can keep themselves ‘Alert and Aware’. Students received information about how they can keep themselves safe during journey .What they can do if they find unclaimed object? And how police communication system works when a call for help is received ? Police men like Pednekar sir, Padmavati madam were successful in developing rapport with the students. Students responded very well and promised the police that they will follow the instructions and prove themselves to be alert citizens.
